Sendmode reminder of the Government announced community Text alert rebate scheme.
The community text alert scheme has been a great success in Ireland in recent years helping to reduce crime and keep communities safe. The scheme is run in conjunction with Muintir Na Tíre and An Garda Síochána. In late September it was announced by Frances Fitzgerald the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality that there would be funds available to help existing groups already set up under this initiative. This will be in the form of a rebate and individual groups must apply through Muintir Na Tíre.
There is €100,000 allocated and almost 1000 groups eligible to apply for this rebate. Each group that applies and satisfies the requirements will get a minimum of €100. The closing date for applicants is fast approaching. Closing date is 31st October 2016. Payments will be made by the end of the year. Applications can be made by submitting an application form via email or by posting it to Muintir Na Tíre.
You can download the Application form from the Muintir Na Tíre website at http://muintir.ie/text-alert-rebates/ You will need to provide receipts for any cost’s occurred from August 31st 2015 to 31st 2016, these will include
- Costs of issuing texts
- Cost of insurance
The completed application form needs to be returned to email@example.com If you do not have email access you may post to Muintir Na Tíre, Canon Hayes House, Rosanna Road, Tipperary Town. Applications must be submitted on or before 31 October 2016.
